Jake working on the bird skeleton puzzle. Our science puzzles are broken into specific body parts of animals. Head, boday, wing, tail, and legs for the bird. Underneath the puzzle is an actual drawing of the animals skeleton. These puzzles show children how all animals have a skeleton even though we cannot see it. Most children in the 3~ 6 classroom enjoy these puzzles and their complexity.

Madison working on the base ten boards. Base ten boards are values from 1 ~ 10 in a color pattern. The one board is red. The two board is painted the exact same size red, then blue. The three board is painted red, blue, then red again. You get the idea. This activity helps children build a stair case using the values from 1 ~ 10 and allows them to literally see the size difference between the values.

Carter working on letter positioning. He enjoys placing things in their correct places. He's one of our students that loves the exactness of Montessori activities.

We harvested our carrots on Monday, Sept. 14th. They did very well this year for a first year garden. The children loved scrubbing the veges, and then eating them.

It is nice to see what they do during the day at school. Love it!
